I have over 6 years of experience directing short films, many of which have gone on to earn accolades at various film festivals. Keen eye for detail and willing to put in extra hours of work to ensure a project gets the attention it deserves. Excel at professional camera movement, frame composition, and video editing. Additional expertise in lighting, set design, and script writing.
As a filmmaker, I’m always looking for the next opportunity to push myself and put my skills to the test. I’ve worked in many different areas of filmmaking on a variety of projects, and have learned from some incredibly talented professionals. I love applying my creativity in new ways, and am constantly looking for new sources of inspiration.

Personally was die shortfilm so entertaining met so many good moments waa jy kan lag. Ôs follow vi Mieke wat ’n rol as ’n backup dancer vi Wimpy Steyn, ’n bekende pop-star, wil losslaan. (Side note, ’n hele reeks oo die daily life van Mieke, wat quirky, dead-pan en charming is, sal nie bad wees nie.) In ’n audition room met professional-looking dancers staan sy uit in ’n volle-80’s disco gap. Inni actual audition issit apparent dat sy dalk nie die beste dancer van die group is nie, en haa broer André support haa wanne sy naby to “calling it quits” is. Sy keer terug met ’n fire, thrusting, kart-wheelz en dancing. Very much soese 80’s aerobics class as dit deur John Waters directed was. Extra flair, absurd en bold.
Ek love die film, want dit remind ’n mens dat dancing net fun is. Dat dit ’n creative expression is wat die gedeeltes van iemand articulate wat woorde nie kan explain nie. Gelaai metti nostalgia vanni 80’s en early 2000’s, odd-humour en ’n unforgettable dance scene sal Dans dat die biesies bewe defs jou hart opwarm. – Paul Kammies
WOMEN'S WORLD CUP OF SHORTS
From mid-July through mid-August, ShortsTV’s channels and video-on-demand services will screen 32 national short films made by female filmmakers from each of the 32 countries participating in the FIFA World Cup Football tournament, one of these chosen films, representing South Africa, the shortfilm Doring In My Vlees. Each national film selection was chosen by our team of leading short film experts based on the film’s excellence in craft, topical or important issues raised, and timely and effective storytelling.
“This key event continues the ShortsTV mission to support and champion female filmmakers from across the globe, bringing greater opportunities and recognition to the amazing women who make movies,” said ShortsTV’s Director of Programming, Jade Tan.
